Especially since this is my first one, I don't want to deal with anything that is going to take away from the joy of the event. This is my faster!https://www.blogger.com/profile/03174649161319763986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7256041188414668963.post-84036286563825051112014-07-24T16:19:50.052-04:002014-07-24T16:19:50.052-04:00One year when I ran the Disney marathon, the medal...One year when I ran the Disney marathon, the medal was top secret because it was an anniversary year. There was a huge buildup and everyone couldn’t wait to see what they designed. As I was trying to complete the marathon, being the slow runner that I am, people who had finished the marathon were walking the course with their medals proudly displayed. Many were giving the same words of encouragements but I was avoiding looking at them because I didn’t want to see the medal. I wanted the joy of crossing the finish line and experiencing it for myself. After this went on for more than an hour, I said screw it and took a peek. It totally ruined it for me. Not only did I not think the medal was all that but I felt like it had deflated me.

So yeah, I’m with you on those that finish the races and give their encouraging words. Let us experience our race for ourselves.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09070058799209656540noreply@blogger.com
