I love that they find creative ways to provide motivation :)
And then something amazing happened this morning...I ran 5 miles!!!
It wasn't pain free but it definitely wasn't as much pain as previous runs which is a great sign! I also managed to have negative splits again today...
It was still insanely humid and dark outside, and despite wearing my bright orange running top I startled a few neighbors (who were up early walking their dogs) as I ran by them...
One neighbor gasped loudly, but I'm not sure if she was truly startled by my presence or just surprised anyone would be running in this ridiculous humidity. In my typical neighborly fashion attempt to be neighborly I smiled and waved and tried very hard not to roll my eyes. It was dark so she probably didn't see that the last thing wasn't successful.
To get through my run I listened to the latest episode of one of my favorite podcasts...
I know I've posted about this podcast before, but in case you haven't heard of it Planted in Miami is a podcast about being vegan in Miami and while I'm not vegan (I'm definitely more on the Paleo end of the food consumption spectrum) the podcast is by Alex and Jeanette, who are friends of mine, and it is pretty awesome! You can check out their website and hear the latest episodes by clicking HERE.
I'm going to keep this post a bit short because I have an early gym workout planned for tomorrow and then I have an early morning physical therapy session right after that. I'm not sure how wise it is to go to the gym before physical therapy... but I guess I'll find that out tomorrow ;)
Where are you on the food consumption spectrum? Are you closer to a Paleo diet or Vegan diet or do you eat everything?
