We Are Ragnarians!!! {Ragnar Niagara Race Recap: Part 3}

[This is the third and final installment of the race recap so if you haven't already, you should read Part One and Part Two]

On our way to the finish line we stopped at our hotel and checked in, off loaded our bags (filled with two days and three runs worth of dirty running clothes and gear), and made our way to the finish line parking area. We had some time to kill so we decided to check out the finish line festivities, which included massages...
(which were pretty good)

And a nice view of the rapids...

Music and other entertainment...

And food...

At previous Ragnars teams got a coupon for food after the finish. Unfortunately... that was not the case at Ragnar Niagara. So that was a little disappointing.
Van 1 ended up dispersing for a bit. Some of us shopped, Dafney and A bought food, I got a massage etc. At one point we were back at the van and I spent some time checking out the van decor and magnets of other teams...

This was one of my favorite team magnets of the trip (apart from my team's own obviously)...

Eventually it was time to head back to the finish area to wait for Ray to finish his third leg so that we could run in together as a team...

And take some more team photos...

And then, of course, we took the mandatory post-Ragnar relay medal with shoes/feet photo...

After two days of running 200-ish miles... way too many Tim Hortons coffee & donuts and not enough sleep... embracing clothing optional bathrooms for the sake of a hot shower after leg 2... and a van full of amazing new and old friends encouraging each other to accomplish anything... we were finally Ragnarians!!!

Team 106 aka "For The Run Of It" was done and I had one more medal to add to my collection of race bling...

We didn't stay at the finish area for very long after because... no free food. So we went back to our hotels for well needed long hot showers, and then we met up at Margaritaville to have one last team activity (and to celebrate Randy's fake birthday)...

After dinner Julie and I went by the Falls...

Then we spent the rest of the day catching up on sleep 😴. On Sunday morning we had a quick breakfast and then headed to the airport for our flights back home.

Overall I had a great time! It's definitely a Ragnar worth doing, as long as they provide better signage along the routes (especially the night legs) and provide food at the Finish. I'm trying to do as many different Ragnars as possible so I may not be back to Niagara for a while, but I absolutely want to do this event again in the future.

I had an amazing team as well and the event would not have been the same without them...
