While I've Been Gone...

It's been a few weeks since I written a blog post cause life has been pretty busy. It's been non-stop travel and activities since I ran Wings for Life and completed Swim Miami (I know, I know... I still have to post that recap). And I just came back from my last (planned) racecation until Berlin in September. This past weekend I did the Ragnar Niagara Falls relay (that recap will be forthcoming as well) and had yet another amazing Ragnar experience...

I'll have more details in the official race recap when I post it but **spoiler alert** I finished it with an incredible team and felt great about my runs. I was even able to enjoy the Falls for a bit after we were done...

My nephew also happened to get a medal for soccer on the same day, so when I got back home we had a mini medal picture taking party...

The weekend before Ragnar was my birthday weekend and I celebrated it in Jamaica with my twin sister...

My daughter was there and so were my parents, my baby sister and her hubby, my cousin, and my boyfriend. It was a really great weekend and I had an incredible birthday and Mother's Day. One of my favorite things about the weekend was waking up on my birthday to a beach villa room filled with balloons...
(I have the best boyfriend ever 😍)

Berlin Marathon training starts this week, but I'm easing into it. My legs are definitely tired from Ragnar and my body is absolutely tried from back-to-back travel weekends. I also have a ton of stuff to do for work and some non-blogging & non-poetry related writing I need to focus on this week. So the goal for this week will be balancing all my competing priorities. I'm happy to say that I've been keeping up the running streak though. It's getting to the point where it's a routine part of my day (but it's still not an easy part of my day).

Look out for the Ragnar Relay recap and the Swim Miami recap that will be posted soon. In the meantime I'll be posting regular marathon training updates on my blog's Instagram account 😊.

How have the past few weeks been?

Have you done any May races?

What's coming up next on your training/racing calendar?
