I've been emotionally marinating in a stage of chronic sadness for the past several
The first order of business for TYT was to head back to the gym. So at my former usual 3am hour I was immersed in a world of indoor hiking expeditions on the Stair climber. I did that for about 20 minutes and then I did several reps on the weight machines and air squats with dumbbells. Hopefully I will have the motivation to get back into the habit of regular cross training...
Once my morning gym session was finished I resigned myself to get ready for the tasks and activities required by the institution through which I'm gainfully employed. But before I got ready for work I decided to participate in the Runners World run streak...
Today was day 2, and since I ran yesterday also I only did a mile today...
The highlights of the rest of the day included:
1. Coffee
2. Lunch
3. These snacks...
(I was highly motivated by food today)
4. Signing up to volunteer at this race...
(They serve wine at the water stations... need I say more?)
5. Booking my tickets for Ragnar Chicago...
6. And registering for another open water swimming event (this one is in August)...
Tomorrow is Global Running Day so I hereby pledge to run...
My goal is to run anywhere between 3-5 miles :)
Are you running tomorrow?
What did you do to treat yourself today?
What's your favorite snack?
I love the idea of TYT! Sounds like you are really putting in a good effort to focus on good things. Have you done a Ragnar before? I am so curious about those. I look forward to your posts about it!
ReplyDeleteThanks! This was my first time doing Ragnar! It is definitely worth it!!!!
DeleteGreat idea! I'm running at least one mile tonight, maybe a 5K, depending on humidity levels.--Mei
ReplyDeleteNice! I hope you are doing ok with the humidity :( Summer training is getting increasingly hard
