The Milepost quote for this morning was the perfect motivation I needed...
It was almost 7am by the time I got to the Boardwalk. The sky threatened rain, but thankfully the rain was kept off shore during my 10 mile "taper run" this morning...
I'm just as shocked as you are that 10 miles is now a "taper run" for me.
Mile-by-mile breakdown...
Cadence breakdown...
I typically pause my watch when I stop for water breaks; and I stopped for water around 5 or 6 times throughout the run. But apart from those occasions, I can't explain the rest of the "complete stops" reflected in the Cadence breakdown.

Today for my LR I tried new fuel that I got from the Stride Box I received last week...
The taste is ok. I ate all of them (which I may not have needed based on my mileage for today) and my tummy felt a little queasy. It still does, but that may have more to do with the carb loading pasta dinner I had yesterday...
Tasted great but had too much garlic :(
So I have a new "song crush". Song crushes are basically my new favorite songs that I listen to on repeat (over and over again). The latest one is a soca song that my sisters introduced me to...
I've never been a soca fan...well I wasn't before now. I figure I can no longer make the "I'm not a soca fan" claim since I currently have the whole album downloaded and on repeat ;)
Just like my "song crushes" I go through "restaurant crushes" as well. My current restaurant crush is the Grand Luxe Cafe. I had an amazing lunch there today with one of my best friends...
Love this girl more than the amazing GLC food ;)
How was your Sunday? Any races today?
What's your current "song crush"
Do you have a restaurant that you love eating at and never get tired of their food?
My current song crush is the entire soundtrack to Wild, I am loving it and it is more slow paced than I am used to but it still works out amazing! In Utah we have a chain of Mexican food restaurants called La Frontera and I will never get tired of eating at that place!
ReplyDeleteNice! I've never listed to it so I definitely need to check out the soundtrack!
DeleteI'm going to add La Frontera to my list of food places to try when I visit UT this year :)
