A Few of my Favorite Friday Moments

Over the past few days I haven't really felt like the recent Mileposts quotes have been in sync with me. And a couple of them have been repeats of previous ones I've seen (so I didn't bother to keep/post those). This morning however, right on time at 5am, I was sent a quote that was just for me...
[ Thanks Bill ]

Between the quote from Bill, and a few reminders from friends & other bloggers that I was being a weather cry baby, I was able to refocus for my run today. Plus it was an evening run so not much to complain about ;)

My pre-run selfie while waiting for Kai to finish getting ready...

I ran with Niqui today and we did intervals for 2 miles. I asked Kai to capture shots of us running so that we could analyze our running gait (I'm going to be doing this a lot over the next few weeks)...
I seriously don't understand why my foot does that :( ]

I found a new screen on my watch today that showed me a different view of my run summary...

Post run pic with Niqui...

So far this week I've run 5.23 miles (it's definitely a low mileage week for me). I plan to do some yoga, stretching and foam rolling tomorrow in preparation for my run on Sunday. And then, as of Monday,  it will officially be my Miami Beach Half Marathon Race Week!!!

Earlier this morning I did my wall sit for today...

And added this running top to my Birthday Wish List...
[ My birthday is still 12 weeks away but it's never to early to start planning ]

I also signed up for a half marathon in Naples. I heard about this race from Senovia, one of my running sisters from the Memorial Milers, and it's supposed to be an amazing course... can't wait to find out!!!

And despite the tears and frustration yesterday, Kai was able to understand her math a lot better...
[ I'm so proud of her!!! ]

I have a million things to do this weekend for my online classes and in preparation for my upcoming work week. I hate when I have to spend most of my weekend working, but it doesn't happen too often; and after these classes are finished I don't plan on teaching any more online classes for the rest of the year. I really need to focus on running and getting the right amount of rest and cross training to support my running performance. This means getting to bed early (and not staying up late grading papers). So I'm going to take a temporary, but well needed, break from online teaching :)

Hope you had a great Friday!!!

What are your weekend plans? Anyone racing this weekend?

What was your favorite subject in middle/high school? (Kai is in middle school, but doing high school math)

Do you have a list of running items on your birthday wish list?
