Snack Attack...

I'm a snacker. I could snack on food all day plus have my three meals a day (including my morning coffee). Cause let's be honest... food = joy ๐Ÿ˜Š. I used to be on the "diet all day" plan. Meaning, I was always trying something to loose weight. Always. And granted, I've been in the 5 to 10 lbs over my "ideal body weight" range for a while now, the reality is that I stay in that range because food tastes yummy. I'm also an emotional eater (with LOTS of feelings), and since Jesus allowed for the creation of cashew milk ice cream, it would be a sin to not show appreciate for this creation on a regular basis...

Today I had to live without the ice cream from heaven so I snacked on other things...
(These chips keep me happy while I stay away from flour for the rest of Lent)

(because people in my life insist that regular coffee isn't a meal๐Ÿ™„)

And I also had a nice (albeit small) lunch of Palomilla steak and cucumbers...
(light but yummy)

Over the weekend I "accidentally" took my bf's chapstick home with me. He made a few passing comments about my "sticky fingers" so I sent him this...

He complied with the ransom request and got this "I'm free" photo in return...
(you have to keep your relationship light and fun... especially when it's long distance)

I'm officially on a five day course of antibiotics to help kick my 30+ day cough...

I'll be immersed in the cold ocean waters for (no more than) 45 minutes during my triathlon relay in a week and a half, so I've run out of time to allow the cough to resolve naturally. In addition to that I will need to start increasing my mileage as of this weekend in preparation for the Ragnar Relay in May. Unfortunately the antibiotics make me a little nauseous (hence the obsession with snacking today) and ever so slightly dizzy. But today was a double dose (per doctor's orders) so tomorrow I should be fine since I only take one tablet instead of two.

In other news, I've found new fun ways to communicate with my teen...
(she isn't on board with my Bitmojis yet but I'm working on her)

In anticipation of watching the movie I decided to listen to the audio book of The Shack again...
(This is one of the best books I've ever read (and listened to). One of my all time favorites)

  1. Lol the chapstick is too funny!!

    I snack all day!! So I try to eat a lot of fruit and small things so it doesn't add up.

      I normally have grapefruit at work unless I bring fruit from home (which I haven't done in a while but really need to start doing again)
