Wednesday's running recap and a few words of wisdom...

I ran today!!!! TWICE!!!!!!! I know, I know...you're proud of me :) Thank you
My morning running session...

My evening running session...

I normally don't run twice in one day but I wasn't able to get my 60 minute session done before work this morning so I had to make up the time. I definitely prefer running in the morning, but I had great company for my evening run and fortunately I didn't have any of the abdominal pain I experienced the last time I ran at night.

I had a workday filled with meetings so time flew by relatively quickly (which was great), but it also felt like a "one step forward, two steps back" kind of day (lots of suggestions, lots of questions....no decisions). I saw these words of wisdom on FB and felt obligated to share them with you. Critical information for success in life (and to help you keep your sanity) should always be shared, so in case you ever wondered...

Have you ever run twice in one day? More than twice??? If yes, how often do you double up your runs?
Interpretive dance...yay or nay?

  1. That is really good advice! :D

I have run twice in one day a few times but never more than twice! A lot of times in the winter I do one mile in the morning and then my regular run at night. I don't have enough time to do full morning runs in the daylight most days, which is a bummer! During the winter I feel like I leave my house at sunrise and get home well after the sun has set! :(

  2. I may have to start doing the double run days more often for the same reason. In the past my mid week runs were really short (approx 30 mins...I was using the Jeff Galloway training plan), but now I'm trying to increase the duration to at least 1 hour for each mid week running day and then my usual long run on the weekends (trying not to run more than 3-4 times a week). If I do an hour of running for each mid week running day during the winter I may have to run for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes (or more) in the evening....I'll have to see how my body feels doing that
