Specifically I walked the loop that I was thinking about doing for my training run this week. And sure enough the bugs were there. I think I got bitten at least 5 or 6 times.
After walking the loop I went down to Main Street in search of soup (I had a weird craving for soup) and some window shopping. I saw this sign that I'm pretty sure was made with me in mind...
And then I waited for Giselle to finally arrive...
Today was the first day of my work conference...
...so it was a pretty busy day with a lot of really great lectures!
During a break from the conference activities I met up with Brooke from Running on Change. If you've never checked out Brooke's blog you can click on her name or the blog name (or click HERE)...
Brooke and I spent some time catching up over lunch. We both have a passion for running and nursing so it was great to hang out. We also discussed the logistics for our run tomorrow. I think it's going to be a trail run, which should be good for me so that I can get some practice on the hills and also not have too much impact on my knees.
I'm doing ok with the altitude in Park City so far, but then I haven't done any running yet so I'll have to wait and see how my body is really handling the climate change after tomorrow's run...
The rest of the day I spent hanging out with Giselle at the park and eating at one of the Mexican restaurants off Main Street...
How was your Wednesday?
Do you walk or drive around a new route before you run it?
Do you try new restaurants when you travel, or stick to places that you know?
We like to try new restaurants whenever we travel.
ReplyDeleteAs for the bug bites, try Cactus Juice eco spray (on Amazon), I always get bit when at the beach and this saved me last year! Highly recommended.
Looks and sounds like you had a fun time.
Thanks Angie! I will check it out to see if it helps :)
