The past few days have been busy with waking up early(-ish) to run, staying up late for the events, and trying to stay awake for the long commute back home. We have two more full days in Rio and a long day of travel coming up, but right now I am exhausted beyond words. Between that and my three gray hairs I realize I've reached my "no longer a spring chicken" phase in life.
On Tuesday I ran...
Then we went to see Christ the Redeemer...
Sanya (twin sis) and Me...
Kai being a teen...
JA Superhero...
One of my favorite pictures from this trip...
Mom and Dad...
Sanya and Gavin...

I saw this piece of art from the first day at the stadium and finally got to take a picture with it (too bad it was broken though)...

The athletic events did not disappoint and we were ecstatic when Jamaica won a gold medal in the Men's 110m hurdles..
That moment when your eyes are glued to the screen for the instant replay ;)

On Wednesday I ran with my brother-in-law along the beach...
And then later in the day we headed back to the stadium for another great night in athletics including a really nice view of the medal ceremony for the Men's 110m hurdles...
And, of course, the Women's 200m finals and the Men's 200m semi-finals were incredible! But I was busy cheering screaming my support so unfortunately I don't have any pictures from those events. After the events we had another long journey back home. I went to bed exhausted and woke up the same so I didn't run this morning. Sometimes your body needs a break and this morning was one of those times for me.
Tonight will be another great (albeit late) night in Olympics Athletics with the Men's 200m finals. I can't wait!!!!
