The more things change...

I ran solo this morning. Today was supposed to be the first LR with my running group but I got completely lost trying to find the park where we were supposed to meet and ended up in a very remote, very scary, totally not safe marina looking area with adjacent deserted parking lot (thanks a lot Mapquest!). By the time I found a safe place to stop and finally figured out where I was supposed to be it was already too late. The group starts at 7am and I wouldn't have made it there until 7:23am (according to the iPhone map app). So as you can imagine I was completely annoyed. I found this morning's Milepost mildly comforting...

Since the schedule for today assigned 3 miles I drove to my usual spot and ran by myself. And it was nice and tranquil and just what I needed to get rid of the feelings of frustration (I get lost very easily but each time is equally annoying and frustrating).

The weather was nice...slightly humid but cool with a lot of cloud cover...

I did my 3:1 ratio throughout the entire run...

Pace per mile breakdown...

This morning's route was similar to the one I ran last week...

Next week's LR is 4 miles with the group and then an additional 5.5 miles by myself (before or after the group run). I'm going to drive to the park and figure out exactly where it is at some point during the week (before I have to head there next week Sunday) so that I don't have a repeat of this morning's disastrous "adventure".

I haven't done my wall sit challenge since Friday. On Friday I did 3mins 31s (or 211s), but on Saturday my quads were sore and I knew I needed to rest my legs as much as possible since I was running on Saturday and on Sunday. Since my Friday time was actually the goal time for today I'm going to continue to rest my legs today and start back tomorrow. Monday's goal time will be 220s (3mins 40s).

I wish I could say that I have a very relaxing Sunday ahead of me but unfortunately I don't. I have to head into work (again) this afternoon, I have work to complete for the online class I teach, around the house cleaning & laundry to do, and cooking. So it will be a busy Sunday.

I hope your Sunday is relaxing!

How were your LRs this week? Anyone complete any races this weekend?
