My morning running routine was a little different (variety is the spice of life after all)...
My overall summary...
I was "in the zone" this morning. It's not my fastest time but I felt like this...
There was a definite improvement between my run this morning and the 5K training run I did last week...
The weather at the end of the run was great....it felt a lot "cooler" than the numbers reflected...
And the sun was just starting to sneak into the morning sky by the time I was done...
To make an already great day better...the cafeteria at work had my favorite soup for lunch (butternut squash) so I paired it with a nice salad...
(it's the little things...)
I iced my knee a lot today. I'm not feeling pain just a minor "sensation" that's kind of hard to describe. So to be on the safe side I did a lot of ice application today and once I got home I massaged it with ICYHOT. I'm also going to do the foam roller before bed, which I am finding to be a priceless component of my recovery routine (why it took me so long to get one I will never understand).
Closing tangent....I came across this a while back
I'm not a big fan of my "runner name" (Runna El Stinko)...they really could have made these a bit more flattering. Kai's own is Pronator Marathonoso (which she said is better suited for me since I have pronation issues and I am training for a marathon).
What's your runner name?
How is your training going so far this week?
