It's times like these that make me wonder if I should move back home
Today was a busier day than usual for me at work. Filled with back-to-back meetings and then a four hour session that occupied my entire afternoon (followed by another late meeting). So by the time I picked up Kai from track practice and got home I was both physically and mentally exhausted. And it's only Monday!
My entire body is aching and my leg muscles have gotten progressively more sore and stiff throughout the day. That's not atypical for the day after my long run, but since I only ran 5 miles I think I will attribute most of it to my dismal water intake today. It was really bad... like maybe only 20-25 oz of water. I did have other liquids (coffee, sprite), but those don't count and I can feel the difference in my general soreness. I'm trying to drink as much water as I can before I go to bed (but not too much because I don't want to have to get up every 20 minutes to use the bathroom)...
I worked on strengthening my ankles using my Thera-Band today...
I'm rocking my neon pink ankle socks to keep my feet warm and cozy, and also because I'm not a huge fan of my toes right now...
But in life no one gets everything they ask for right? So you really just have to decide what's more important - Toenails or Distance Running?
[I'm kidding...I'm not a huge fan of my butt either ;) ]
I have a new "theme song" on repeat in my iTunes playlist after seeing Furious 7 yesterday...
Whenever there is a movie series that I love (like this one) I always find myself identifying with one of the characters. There is usually a character that I watch and think "yeah... that's probably something I would do/say". There have only been a few female characters in this movie so can you guess which one I think is most like me?
What's your favorite movie genre?
Did you have work today or did you have Easter Monday off?
What are your workout plans this week?
I gave myself Easter Monday off... I got almost nothing done today! I did hit the gym and do my first yoga class and I hope to keep the momentum up for the rest of the week. Glad you had a great day off... And thanks for the song tips. I suddenly decided I hate everything I listen to and need new songs.ReplyDelete
My sisters were off, unfortunately I had to work :(Delete
Glad to hear you were able to get your workout in at the gym and in yoga! Keep it up :)
Let me know if you like the song :)
Love the graphics! I think I can relate to all of them. I just polished my nails again, since I leave the polish off all winter to let them "heal". But, I painted them blue - my "Boston blue" nails. And, blue hides all black toenails easily. Bonus!ReplyDelete
First....Good Luck at Boston!!!!! I'm excited for you! Can't wait to read all about it :)Delete
I currently have a dark green color on, but might switch that to a shade of purple tonight or tomorrow ;)
