I did laps, pool running, and some resistance training with the "aqua weights" for about 45 minutes. And then we both hit the sauna and headed back home. Swimming is exhausting. Between the reduced sleep time and the early morning workout we both went back to bed until I ran out of excuses not to wake up and get the day started...
I tried to make today as relaxing as possible while still being productive. Sadly, I was only partially successful in both regards. But, in my quest to be more "glass half full" than "glass half empty" I'll share the successful parts of my day:
Lunch...
I really don't need to carb load for my run tomorrow because it's a taper run and well... it may not happen (I'll explain more later) but I felt for pasta so I figured "why not?"

And looking forward to next weekend when I will be getting this...
The weather for tomorrow's run does not look good (hence the potential cancellation)...
I may have to switch my long run day from tomorrow to Monday because of the current forecast. I'm not necessarily in the mood to run in the pouring rain, so if the weather is really bad when I wake up I'll just go to the gym instead and run on Monday evening after work.
I'm still on track for my goal of running 100 miles in March. Well, kind of on track. So far this month I've run 17.68 miles (only 82.32 miles left!).
What's your favorite carb loading dish?
Wow! You are an early riser! Good for you for getting in ana amazing early morning swim and good luck with your upcoming race!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Good Luck wishes!!!! I try to get to the gym early to avoid the crowd. There's something peaceful about only a handful of people being there. And I love it when the pool is empty :)
