The Weekend Recap & Monday's Maintenance Run

It's been a whirlwind of activity over the past few days, but after months and months of planning and preparation my baby sister's wedding was a huge success and my sister and new brother-in-law are off on their honeymoon & starting their Happily Ever After...

With the wedding done it was time to relax so yesterday was spent at the beach...

Tanning...

Hanging out with Kai...

Hanging out with family...
(my Dad and Damian not pictured)
And playing Dominos...

This morning I ran with another local running group. There was only a small turnout and we did a 3 mile route through the hills (approximately 2 miles up hill and the rest downhill)...

It was a slow run. I think my legs forgot how hard hill training is...
I felt like I slowed down the group but they were really nice about it. Yesterday there was talk about doing the route twice (and therefore completing 6 miles), but after the 3 miles I was kind of glad everyone decided to stop.

3 miles (or at least a 5K) will be my mid-week maintenance mileage heading into my full marathon training. As the mileage increases my goal is to get to the point where I complete 5 miles for each of my mid-week runs. And eventually to be able to run the 5 miles straight :)

How has everybody's training been going?

Any more exciting news from the Chicago Marathon for those who applied?

What's your minimum mileage for your mid-week run?
