The Other Side of Work...

Today was Day One for my job's annual Trauma Symposium. So the next few days will start early and end late... which means the next few posts will be more pictures (as I share my work life stuff more than my running life stuff) and few words.

But before I switched to work mode this morning, I got up and ran...

In the fog...

And humidity...

For one mile...

Then it was off to the Diplomat Resort for the Trauma Symposium...

This is one of my favorite things to look forward to (work-wise) each year. It's 2.5 days of amazing lectures from leaders in the trauma industry. And I get to hang out with some of my work friends while I learn more...

Today at the Symposium we honored a legend in the trauma community, our former Trauma Medical Director, Dr Eddy Carrillo...

And I got to see the Pediatric Trauma Medical Director who was instrumental in my mentorship when I ran my first pediatric trauma program, Dr Steven Stylianos...

Tomorrow is Day Two of lectures (and amazing food)!

How was your Thursday?

Do you get to attend conferences for work?

How was your run/cross training today?

  1. It was sooo hot yesterday morning!! I ran in the morning and was drenched in sweat and then I looked online later and see there is a blizzard in NYC lol. Crazy! Your symposium looks fun! I love conferences like that.

    1. I was hoping that NY weather would push some cold air down this side but the weekend looks like it's going to be hot also :(
The symposium has been great so far!
