When the stars align...

When the stars align everything starts to fall into place and all your dreams come true (well most of them anyway). That's been the theme of the past few days. I was still enjoying the altitude on Cloud 9 after my PR at the Sarasota half marathon on Sunday when I got this notification yesterday afternoon...
I wanted to waste no time in paying for my registration (better safe than sorry), so I sat in Starbucks (which is where I was when I got the email) and paid for the race on my phone...

After my Starbucks registration session I went to Macy's (again) and I was finally able to get a pair of shoes for my sister's wedding!!!
(what do you think? not bad for a pair of shoes I will probably never wear again right?)

Today the stars maintained their alignment and I was able to get in to the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon (the very same one that sold out in approximately 30 minutes!!!)...
I know a lot of people didn't get in and there are many disappointed runners out there :(
Hopefully registration with a charity is an option for some.

In addition to Chicago, and Wedding Shoes, and the Disney Wine & Dine Half, I'm also the proud team member of a Ragnar Relay Group for the Feb 2016 Miami to the FL Keys Ragnar Relay! We still have to work out all the logistics of course but we have 12 committed team members and I hope the group will be able to train together as we get closer and closer to the race.

I'm still resting my legs today. And tomorrow (my typical running day) will be spent traveling and helping with last minute stuff for my sister's bridal shower. I probably won't run again until Thursday when I run with the group I trained with over Christmas. Hill work here I come!!!

Anyone else got in to the Disney Wine & Dine?

What about the Chicago Marathon?

    1. Thanks Carla! Have you ever run it before? (is that why you decided to be a spectator only?) I'm looking forward to it so I hope it lives up to the hype ;)
