Garmin, Selfies, & What Keeps You Going...

My legs felt surprisingly good this morning considering what I put them through at the half marathon yesterday. And even though it wasn't my best half marathon experience, the 13.1+ miles helped me win my Garmin Step Challenge...

But by the time the evening rolled around my legs felt heavier and I barely made it through my one mile run...

Post-run pic...

If it wasn't for my running streak I would have taken a complete rest day, but my daily run has become somewhat of a habit for me so even when I'm tired I try and find the motivation to get it done...

Apart from sleeping in, airport goodbyes, and running, I spent the day visiting my grandpa's graveside because yesterday would have been his birthday...

And I took a "say cheese" selfie with my nephew and his newly cut hair...

I'm postponing my run tomorrow morning until tomorrow night so that I can sleep a little longer and give my legs even more rest time. Which also means I should take advantage of the opportunity for more sleep by going to bed earlier 😉).

I hope you had a great Monday!

Did you do anything special for President's Day?

Do you participate in the step challenges on Garmin (or on any other systems)?
