I Think I Broke My Hamstrings (& other Tuesday Tangents)...

So my hamstrings are broken. Well to be fair they're probably not broken per se but rather they are in a persistent state of chronic soreness. I was searching for images associated with a "broken hamstring" today and saw this...
So "technically" mine really aren't that bad 🙈... but they do hurt and foam rolling is as painful almost as painful as living with the knowledge that Trump is president...

{Ok let's move on}

This morning I did a few leg strengthening exercises (squats & wall sits) and a one mile run...

Making today day 38 of my running streak!!!

I was sweating a lot for a one mile run (and it's supposed to be Winter!) but I really tried to push myself to stay under 11 minutes 💪. Tomorrow's run is a group run so the distance should be around 4 or 5 miles (with hopefully a sub-12 minute/mile overall pace). The decision to do a longer mid-week run this week is being driven by the fact that my work conference will limit my ability to do more than a 1 mile run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. However, if all goes according to plan, I'm scheduled to do a 10 mile run on Sunday.

This weekend I'm also starting my new jigsaw puzzle because I finally finished the one of my medals!!!

Today was a long day primarily consumed with navigating the political minefield at work. But nothing beats a bad day better than good food 😉. And since today was "Thai Food Tuesday" it called for Cashew Nut Chicken from one of my favorite Thai restaurants 😀...

How was your run/cross training today?

Do you like Thai food?

What's one thing that made you smile today?
