It's surprisingly not as easy as it looks. Plus I think time actually slows down when you do it because it really feels like an eternity...
Technically I should start at day one (10 seconds) but I stayed until 65 seconds today so I'm going to start at day 6...
Tomorrow I'll aim for 70 seconds and just continue from there.
Kai decided to do the challenge with me today...
This was her time...
These are the muscles this position and challenge are supposed to target...
I'm going to do it as long as it doesn't mess with my knee. I'm still wary of putting too much pressure on it. Anything that aggravates my knee will be vetoed off my "things to do" list. My ultimate goal is to run these marathons safely (not be a wall sit challenge champion).
This week my cross training will include both cardio and weights (I'm focusing on core...and maybe legs). I will decide in the morning whether or not tomorrow will be my cardio day or strength training day.
I also did a bit of yoga today to help with stretching, core and balance. It was a short video session but I enjoyed it. It was what I needed to get over the fact that it's Monday and Mondays are normally sucky and today was no exception.
Have you ever done the 30 day wall sit challenge? How was it? Did it make a difference?
