It's Thursday so that means....T-minus Two Days!!!

I ran this morning. Technically I could just end my blog post now because you probably know that today shaped up to be a fantastic day (running usually does that). Thursday is not typically a running day for me, but I wanted two "non-running" days before the Miami half so this week my running days were Tuesday and Thursday. I would share with you what my cross training days were this week, but if you've been following my posts you already know there were none (sigh). I hope to change that tomorrow. I have my alarms set and everything :)

Today's running session was good. I'm really trying to focus on pushing myself to stick with the non-stop runs during the week and increasing my running intervals on my long runs. I was able to do a little more than a 5K this morning, at a pretty decent pace for a taper run...

Post-run pic...

This is probably going to sound really nerdy, but I get excited when I log on to the Garmin Connect website and see all the different charts and tables and statistics associated with each run that I complete. Here is a snapshot of some of them...

Work went by quickly (it's the little things that make life great) and I was able to make it to Kaiyu's volleyball game to see her team cinch another victory today...

My precious daughter is constantly surrounded by family and friends that love her like she was their own. I'm especially grateful that she has such a wonderful relationship with all of her aunts. She is loved by them and loves them unconditionally and has her own unique relationship with each of them. One such example...

We are two full days away from the Miami Marathon & Half Marathon and I'm getting more and more excited about the event! All the festivities begin on Friday with the pre-race expo and continue throughout Saturday. And then before you know it I will be lining up with my corral group waiting to start my 13.1 mile journey! I. Can't. Wait!

Hope you had a great Thursday! Tomorrow I will post the "winner" of the ZOOMA Napa Valley Half Marathon bib transfer "giveaway" :)

Did you have a close relationship with your aunts growing up?

What is the best pre-race expo you've been to? What made it so great?
