(as seen on my run...beach fishing at sunrise)
I stuck with my 6:1 intervals and completed 6 miles...
At a slower pace than I'm capable of, but not bad considering my activity level over the past week and my (still) very tired legs...
Pace per mile breakdown...
Post run pics...
(I decided to climb this ramp to get a better view of the beach)

After a ridiculous amount of selfies (which only happens on those rare occasions when my iPhone camera does its job properly) I did some stretching...
(no knee brace this morning)
I did my running by myself this morning, but I did see my Memorial Milers running group along the boardwalk. The 1/2 marathon group was doing 6 miles & the full marathon group was scheduled for 10 miles. Since I started earlier (and only did 6 miles) neither group was at the meeting point when I was finished so after my stretching routine I decided to head home.
I spent the rest of the day doing all the last minute stuff one would normally find themselves plagued with the day before you have to head back to work after vacation...with one minor exception...
I GOT MY GARMIN TODAY!!!!!!
And it's a perfect fit...
(I got the purple one (obviously) because it's my favorite color and because purple makes me run faster)
I'm going to spend the rest of the day trying to figure out how to set up my watch (after I do the prep work for my online classes).
Have a great Sunday!
Any tips for using the Garmin Forerunner 220? I would love to hear any feedback on the best ways to use the device :)
Your Garmin is so pretty!!!!! My Garmin is black and red, kind of manly, lol. I wish I had views like yours when I run. Right now everything is covered in ice and snow. :(
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the temps where you are right now :( It must be so cold! We should start a "runner's exchange program" so you can spend winters in Florida and I can spend summers where you are :)
